Morning visitor

Hummingbird 5, originally uploaded by shrinkette.

We finally bought a digital camera last night (our first). Meet the little guy who sits in a plum tree outside our window every morning!

Now, how to crop this? We don't know...yet.

What a beautiful picture! Please post more nature photos as you learn the ins and outs of your new camera.

Use windows picture viewer. Click edit, then you can crop or resize the photos as you wish. Yeah, it's from Windows, but it's free and it actually works...

Great picture, Shrinkette--we get lots of those little beauties up here in the Puget Sound area, a real joy to watch. Very territorial if you have more than one around.

On Windows, download Picasa from Google--it's free and has a the basic tools for digital image editing and organization. For more sophisticated editing, get Photoshop Elements (Mac or Windows)--it's inexpensive and very powerful (Mac & Windows). On the Mac, GraphicsConverter is the way to go.

Keep sharing your new pictures with us!
